:eek: Soy el piloto de un Bentley EXP Speed8 y veo ese video, y me retiro de la carrera :D
SOBRAU!!! Si no suena a diesel!! Es precioso el paso a paso del montaje, tanto del motor con esas carracas y dinamométricas acompasadas, como la escena "National Geographic", vista aérea del montaje completo del coche.
Impresionante.

y joder podian haber puesto un caballo decente no? un pura sangre ingles o un español o algo, porke ese tiene una pinta el pobre ke juder :D

Los R10 utilizan biodiesel ;) De todas formas, en la salida de boxes no se le ve echar bocanada de humo negro... Y suena muy alto de vueltas!!

The Audi R10 TDI powered prototype hit the track today for the first time in the US as Sebring testing commenced for the 2006 ALMS season. This car is unbelievable. It sounds like nothing I have ever seen or heard before. Its QUIET, really really quiet. It makes no more than a weird hum and whistle as it heads down the track. It sounds almost like a regular stock Viper V10 or something like that would sound going down the highway.
The V12 TDI used in the R10 is the first Audi diesel engine with an aluminium crank case. The cylinder-bank angle is 90 degrees. The V12 TDI has, like Audi production car engines, four valves per cylinder and twin overhead camshafts. The fuel induction is made by a modern “Common Rail System”. The injection pressure easily exceeds the 1600 bar achieved in production cars. The ignition pressures also reach values never previously seen in any Audi engine.
The engine’s power and the high torque are available to the driver practically from idling speed – a speciality of diesel technology, to which the Audi drivers must now become accustomed. The usable power band lies between 3000 and 5000 revs per minute.
One of the diesel engine’s biggest advantages is the low fuel consumption, especially at part-throttle and overrun. However, when compared to more classic circuits which demand a higher ratio of part throttle, the lower specific consumption will hardly be noticeable at Le Mans because the quota of full-throttle is almost 75 percent.
The enormous torque of over 1,100 Newton metres not only posed previously unforeseen demands in the development of the R10 drive train. Even the latest generation of engine dynamometers at Audi Sport had to be reequipped with special gearboxes capable of withstanding the unusual forces.

1100Nm!! waaaaaajaaaa!! Que bestia! Eso tiene que retorcer los neumáticos. 2000rmp útiles... tendrá una caja de autobus, de 16 marchas o algo asi... porque con ese par y potencia, y ese pequeño rango de rpm se tienen que acabar enseguida.
Es curioso el tema de lo "silencioso" del motor, pero con ese ruido a "taqués" característico :D

como siempre. audi=revolucion en la competicion :D joas solo le falta ser quattro al trasto ese jaja :D
El vídeo está brutal, y el coche también.
Y el tema del sonido... bueno imagino que el hecho que sea 12 cilindros hace que suene más fino que un diesel convencional. Es como cuando pasas cerca de un camión (que no esté muy chuscado) y se oye ese sonido grave... pero a más revoluciones.
A ver si el aparato confirma en pista las espectativas que genera fuera.

y digo yo porke tendran ke llevar como 2 plazas en vez de ser monoplaza? alguien lo sabe? bueno en algun lao de la reglamentacion vendra, eso esta claro, pero por ke? cual es el objetivo?
Por ahi lei que es obligado ser biplaza, aunque como siempre rozando lo ilegal, porque eso de biplaza tiene poco :D

Hoy he visto en la tele un sucedáno del anuncio este, sale un A4 TDI y con la misma música lo empiezan a desmontar y acaban montando el R10, Pero debe ser la versión corta pq no dura mas de 30 segundos como mucho. Nada que ver con el original. Salu2.

Decir que suena como el V10 de un Viper, me parece exagerado, no?!
